Went to a "Code of the West" gun show for the usual reasons. Hadn't been in about 5-6 years and thought I'd see what's up with the vendors, look for some parts and stuff, and of course, price out the guns and ammo. Just as I had been thinking lately, that the SKS market here in Kali was returning to it's senses, I got a big dose of commercial reality check, and remembered why I hate the $10 admission fee, just to look around. X39 ammo 7-9 bucks/20, .22 CCI 100rds 20 bucks, stopped looking after that. SKSs, Russians 3 @ $900 ea, Chicom/Yugo $600+, clean/bubba/mixmaster same price. No bayos or cleaning kits. I did find a missing section of an 03-A3 sling, a dollar (I knew I'd come across the rest some day-9 years latter). Found an SKS Rommy sling missing 1 end but past on it for $25 (see 03-A3 above ). Best I did was an ERMA EP 22 parts gun, since technically it was non functioning $45 OTD, no paper, from a guy with VW toys! If I'm lucky, I should be able to bring it back for what it costs if I went out and bought one . I did find the only Tapco slip on recoil pad in the whole place, I needed two. I was looking for chest rigs & strippers, Yugo butt pad, or any screw on SKS recoil pads, and Rommy slings. For some reason I'm wanting them for mine. I dug through everybodys junk bins. I did hit up the beef jerky samples on each go-round. Well, that's all folks, PAX
