    dros ppt shipped firearm

Oaktree won't dros a shipped firearm unless you pay $300 for membership. Addax charges $100 fees plus $25 dros. Fort courage charges sales tax on ppt shipped within Ca firearms. Pd guns and kemasa best deals around for ppt shipped longuns no sales tax.

Exactly. And this is why you can't "PPT" an off-roster handgun through the mail.

ppt is not a dealer sale. it is private party just not face to face. What do you think ppt means? Some ffls require sales tax and some don't. Don't go to one that charges tax, ask first.

As applied a PPT is only a "face-to-face" sale. If you ship a firearm it can no longer be done as a "PPT" in the DROS system.

I am just saying I purchased from a private party not from ffl. I don't care what it is drosed as. I don't want to pay excess fees or sales tax.

Understandable. Your FFL should not be charging tax so long as the firearm came from a private party, and not a commercial entity.

I posted this so locals know what ffls here charge. Not to fight over regs or descriptions. Big 5 now does dros on long guns ftf.
