So it's finally time to buy a Chronograph setup. I am looking for suggestions from people who have actually used one.
Some things I want:
* Budget is about $400 for the chronograph, software, temp/humidity devices, and delivery.
* Usable indoors or outdoors.
* Permanent memory for at least 500 shots and at least 5 groups of shots.
* Self contained power for the main unit and all options.
* Computer connectivity with the ability to dump to the computer as the shot are made if the PC software supports it.
* Portable printer would be nice, but not mandatory.
* Folder nice, but not mandatory.
* Analysis and records software. Either from the same manufacturer, or from a third party.
Some questions:
* Are you consistent with taking your setup out to the range / shooting area?
* What issues have you run into?
* What features have you bought, or wish you had not bought?
* What do you think of the companion software some chronograph manufacturers sell?
* Any third party software better?
* Are there there some lesser know chronographs out there that actually have useful features not found in the major names?
* Any other board or forums I should post this request into?
Bring on your suggestions, opinions, and recommendations please.
Chris
