              The hardest (damn near impossible) part about getting an in home 01 FFL in Urban CA is getting the business license from your city. Don't start the FFL process until you know if your city will even give you a business license. IIRC ATF won't issue until all local laws/regulations are complied with.

              If you live in a rural area, it will most likely be a lot easier.

                  and/or do a existing ffl search and see if anyone managed to get one for their home in your city.
