    HELP!! WHAT IS IT?

    Hi Guys,

Went OCD in my gun room, in anticipation of my first range trip in 2 years. Reorganized all my loose ammo stash, loaded some strippers, labeled ammo cans, ran bore snakes through everything I expected to shoot, took down all my SKSs to make sure firing pins rattle. Changed out a scope or 2, and was up till 2 AM bore siting all the scoped guns (from my backyard, through my gate, bouncing the laser off the neighbors tailgate - exactly 100 yards).

So I get up this morning, go into the man cave, and step on this little guy. I do not recognize it at all, and I'm usually very good at part identification. I had the slides off my Tanfoglio FAB 92 and Beretta 92FS, but that's as far as that went.

I'm thinking that it might have come out of a large plastic jar, that I dumped out, that some garage sale .30-06 rounds were in. It's sprung steel(?) and I've got it sitting on a dime for scale. The pics aren't that great, but you can see the uniqueness of it. Anybody know what it is? PAX

That's like working on your car all day, finishing up and then finding one lone nut on the garage floor. Was it there before, did it fall out of my tool box, did I forget to re-bolt something???
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Oh god, I know that feeling. For me it was a little screw. Had to completely disassemble three guns to find where it went! Hopefully it was just a thing in a jar. I'd run the actions on all of my guns and see if there were any unusual snags or looseness.
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

Those out of focus pictures are badly hurting my eyes. It's not the correct answer, but it looks like a part to a staple gun...

oh no whatever you do, stop shooting all your guns, that is a tremigirdell, and any gun that is missing it's tremigirdell will detonate killing everyone within 10 miles radius

I think it's funny that in all 3 pics had you been one inch farther away it would have been in focus.

I don't know what it is either.

I would Youtube cleaning videos on the guns you cleaned, and see if anything matches up
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
