    Help identify this beauty!

    I know its a Model 29-3, It has 5 1/2" (measured from muzzle to cylinder face) barrel, with full under lug.

    Unfluted cylinder, Just like the classic hunter.

    I don't think they made a 5 1/2" classic hunter, did they?

    I inherited it, so I'm not sure if this is a classic hunter or not.

      Late 80's Classic 29 with interchangeable front sight blades; looks like it's missing on this one, but that's easy to find.

      I don't recall them doing an unfluted version, but it may have been a Lew Horton Special or something, I don't have a copy of the bible handy here, so I can't confirm this, but that laser engraving on the right of the barrel is a give away.

          The only 5.5" Classic Hunter I can find is a '90s -5. I would guess a special edition or somebody put the unfluted cylinder onto a standard Classic -3.

          Where are you measuring the barrel? Sure it's not a 6"?

          Damn nice looking revolver at any rate.

          Are those the longer "E" type bolt stop notches?
