    Another ND video

If you're quick with the pause button, you can see the deputy's pants flare out from the concussion. Looks like the round hit him upper calf. Probably pure luck that it didn't hit one of the prisoners, too.

Anybody want to put money on this being a Glock in a thumb break holster?

He's lucky one of the prisoners didn't pick it up and put a bullet in him as he ran away from the pistol...

Yeah he is so dumb he just left the gun on the floor, then realizes it and scurries back over like he's not even wounded hahaha.

What a freaking idiot (the guy with the tan jacket). He shoots the other guy in the leg and stands there like "what just happened" when he should have realized he is the one had the ND and then dropped the gun.

They were probably too stunned by the sound. Dunno if you've ever experienced the sound of a handgun in a confined space without hearing protection, but I've got to say... It's almost real loud, then it's real, real quiet and confusing as hell. They were probably too busy trying to figure out what the dull almost roar was and why the hell they could only hear ringing.

It almost looks like he sticks his right hand in his pocket and presses the trigger. Man that sucks to be the deputy with his back to him, and getting shot due to a ND. Yes they're lucky none of the prisoners grabed the firearm, because it took a few seconds for him to secure his own firearm.

Looks to me like he is grabbing the gun out of a locker or safe and then holstering it.

That sucks. I really hope his clothes got caught in the trigger guard instead of him being a total retard. Lucky none of the bad guys were the really pyscho kind.

God...he dropped and ran away from that gun like a French infantryman.

That is the biggest issue in the whole situation. Leaving a firearm unsecured around custodies. Looks like it went off while he was holstering....wonder if he holstered with his finger on the trigger.

I think he freaked when it went off, then freaked when he realized he shot one of the other officers. Those two things overwhelmed him enough that the location of the gun was totally eclipsed.

As egregious as the mistake was, I do think he recognized the problem pretty quickly given his apparent shock.
