On Target in Laguna Niguel charged me $85 to have a barrel polished on a Kimber 1911, and $300 to have my Sig 226R DAK converted to a DA/SA.

Did I overpay? I asked them if that was their best price and they yes.

IMO, you over paid significantly.

Did you shop around before selecting On Target??

With a lathe, I could polish a 1911 barrel in 10 minutes or less.

Don't know the process for converting the SIG, but $300 sounds a bit nut-so.

i havent asked around in a while but i think i have been quoted around $50 - $60 for a barrel polish

for the conversion i think sig charges around $200

sounds like you overpaid a bit, i only go to on target to function test guns nowadays, their ammo and services are a bit overpriced, and i just dont dig the shooting atmosphere there ( seems like they get all of OC's new shooters and dudes trying to impress gf's crowd haha )
