All it takes is one "Good guy/gal" who is armed and who uses good judgement. Glad it all ended well for the Mom and the Good Samaritan!

This is where logic takes a back seat in the minds of most agencies refusing to issue permits based on lawful self-defense as good cause. In my area, this poor lady/victim would have been denied a permit prior to this incident because she likely did not have a good cause. AFTER this assault, she would stand a fairly good chance of getting a permit because she can point to a personal experience of being assaulted. (The good samaritan in this case probably wouldn't have had a permit either and wouldn't have been able to help).

This "logic" just boggles my mind. Why does one need to be a victim first?? Why not issue the permit initially to PREVENT one from being a victim?

Why? Because the sheep must be controlled. Armed sheep are no longer sheep and cannot be herded down the path of rainbows and unicorns, where their basic survival is dependent on the provider (aka gooberment).

That reminds me i need to buy some more zip ties. Had this happened in CA i would be in jail right now facing a lawsuit, a charge of terrorist threats and brandishing.

This is why we in Riverside county, if you havent heard, are trying to elect a real constitutional sheriff, Chad Bianco! Current sheriff believes that self defense is not a good reason for CCW. We need to try to change this one county/ city at a time and work our way up. We all need to be one voice before its too late. We all need to get out and vote or else you have no right to complain about things. Im saying this general, for those that do vote and try to make a difference my hat is off to you.
