    Very nice - Congrats!

I've got a S&W Airweight in .38 that looks damn near identical to that gun. I love it, but it's not fun at all to shoot. There's more kick in those little bastards than a 308.

a lot of people feel very differently about to kick of a j frame Smith and Wesson, especially in the air weights (with the aluminum or scandium frames ).

I personally never had an issue & can shoot all day and it only bothers me if I'm shooting the + P rounds and then only if I'm shooting a lot of them, which I don't think the J frames were meant to shoot a lot of + P rounds anyway.
it's also nice that you have the longer grips, that'll help with the recoil and control and give your pinky someplace to hang on to

I kinda feel that they are the practical version of the short barreled Smith and Wesson 500...I mean most of us are not in bear country yet a some of us buy those type of guns for the challenge of shooting the big bores. (even if it's somewhat unlikely that we'll use them as they were intended.)

A J Frame offers the similar types of challenges but on a much smaller & more practical scale.

if you're getting speed loaders, I recommend the five-star all aluminum or metal types over the HKS plastic ones.

            congratulations.
