The new, 12 installment mini-series of "24" begins on 5 May. Today my wife and I watched a preview, which featured interviews with the main actors, the writer, director and even the Armorer.

The Armorer for the show listed the weapons that will be seen on the show. I'm not sure I caught all of them, but for sure he showed an HK USP Compact, a Glock 17, and what I think was both an HK MP5 and an HK 416. They'll also be using that weird "rifle" in which you insert a Glock and then the stock is hinged and you can shoot around a corner. There might have been a sniper rifle in there somewhere that I missed.

Based on a few scenes they teased us with, there is going to be a whole lot of ammo expended throughout the show. Rock and roll. Do not miss this!

I don't think the Armorer mentioned that model for this new series, as good a choice as it would be, but I may have missed it. We'll all find out when we see the first show......at least I expect there will be ammo expended on every installment. Full disclosure: I own an HK USP Compact 9 and love it, so I'll be looking for that on the show......plus anything and everything else. I'm hoping to see some character using a Sig because I also own a Sig P226 Mk25.

Let's see, that would be the actress Elisha Cuthbert.....right? At least she can run without falling down. And someone trained her reasonably well on shooting technique, I would say.
