    Should I adjust the sights?

So I was asking around my work for a rear sight pusher to adjust my sights on a Kahr K9 Elite and a coworker asked why. I told him because they were off slightly to the right. He asks if I'll still e able to get rounds on target if I need to defend myself and I say yes. So he says leave them alone then. Hmm so here's what I'm working with.
At 20 feet off a table.

At 20 feet off a table using "Kentucky Windage" (put this one in for those that we're going to start accusing the operator instead of the gun

At about 90 feet off a table.

Rapid fire using two hands standing at 10 feet. I fire 8 rounds as fast as I could, 4 impacted on target the other four are in the group above the target.

So should I adjust them or leave it alone? Thanks.

Why wouldn't you adjust. Tap the sights over a hair.. take you a whole minute to do..

My concern would be why are you asking other people? If you have doubts, do it. I took my G23 to the "store" with offset Triujicon "HD's" & they were baffled why I'd want them even. Just do it, I suggested. Confidence is the most important thing to me.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Just be sure it is the sights... Are you right handed. Are you pulling? I have seen people even on bench do it... But at 20 feet that far off... Adjust!. I adjust if that far off at 25 yards.

At longer distances that gun would be far to the right, it needs to be closer than that.

I'd get a good solid benchrest at 50 feet and fire about 5 rounds for a group, this is .45ACP?
Do that a couple times and then move the sights to walk the group into the center and shoot again for groups.
Once gun is mechanically set to shoot straight IAW sight line I would then use the above chart to correct my non benchrest shooting.

I am a proponent of the point and shoot style.

I know air rifles will shoot a different point of impact when benched or shot un supported . I would not be surprised to see pistols react the same way .

I would try grouping at close range ( 8 yards ) and see if your general group is still to the left .

Try shooting with someone who will load the gun for you and have him/her mix in dummy rounds to detect eye closing, flinching and other learned bad habits that make shooting good groups unlikely .

BTW nice group from the supported position !

I think I'm going to adjust them. I've owned probably over 25 guns in my life and this is the first one where point of aim wasn't point of impact. As SB1964 put it "Confidence is the most important thing..."

If you are consistantly hitting the target at the same place, then adjust the sights. Do not play around with your grip, as you are shooting accurately. Adjust the sights so that your accurate shooting is hitting where you are actually aiming.

Just for comparisons sake, shoot another pistol and see if you are pulling to the right, and maybe have another person try for bullseye's with your pistol to see if the gun is trending in that direction.

It really comes down to getting the gun to shoot for you, but if its operator error, it would be good to find out whats going on.

Dont be afraid to adjust them, but maybe have one or more experienced shooters try it out first and see if they get the same. Dont tell them its characteristics ahead of time either

If you've eliminated grip issues, then adjust the sights. I've replaced the sights on half my pistols, so end up sighting the pistols in anyways. I don't understand why anyone would tell you not to.

That's why they put moveable sights on guns.
