Most of my guns are antiques. Some of them blackpowder. I love this stuff. I've never even used the aerosol version. I keep some in a little vial for the range. I put a spray nozzle on the big can.
If you take some bronze wool and ballitstol, you can clean your entire gun, wood, metal, leather slings. It wont harm the blueing, and it leaves like a thin slick waxy coating. But not sticky. It doesn't jam up or harden.
