Lsc Manufacturing FLAT ON DISPLAY TOMORROW

Today I took time from our Grand Opening to pick up the new flats from LSC Mfg (hkflats.com)... the very first 2 from the dies. LSC told us that they would supply us with a pre-sample, which they delivered. They also donated 2 flats to our Grand Opening drawing, which will be delivered to the...

I got one of the LSC sample flats and will be showing it at Angeles Range around 11:30am if you would like to see it. I will be in one of there red hk 9mm flats shirts.

      I want one.

"Mr. Bill Fleming gave his analysis to us and other HKPro members, which at the time he did not know the origion of either flat. He gave us permission to quote him: "This one (refering to the LSC flat) looks like it came from Ormadorf Germany, and this one (refering to the new flats sold by SW/CA) looks like it was hammered from dog $h!t""

2024 New Year?s resolution will be no posting..

That little "Fleming" story sounds like BS... as though he would not know what an SW flat with its funky tabs and all (compared to an MKE flat) would look like, and German flats did not have tabs like the rounded LSC flats so this is just more garbage to add to the heap. I only mean to disparage the story, not the flats of any maker.

Prusik USA has done a lot of work with Mr. Fleming, might want to read around hkpro some more. They are doing a lot of work with his .22 converstion kit, perfect for CA legal .22 hk94 style weapons that feel like guns not bb guns like the GSG guns do.

The MKE flats were really nice, the new SW flats - uh, not so much.
I am sure they will bend fine, but the differences in quality are obvious when you compare em side by side.
As for these LSC flats, I'll let somebody else buy one first.....

On another note, I am very looking forward to the G3 flats TB says he is going to do.

That SW flat is gonna be a PITA to bend. Notice how the center section is perfectly flat, and not radiused like the LSC flat? The center section is also misssing the reinforcement "blisters" along the top of the receiver used for indexing the claw mounts for optics.

Whoa... I just saw some of the SW flats they are now selling and all I can say is Ouch ! I would love to see one of the LSC ones in person, as they sure look closer to the originals at least from the pictures I have seen.
What the heck is up with that flat top on the SW flats? The flat top is not on the guns they build .

was there ever a shortage of receivers? like some sort of hk-stops-sending-receivers or were they somehow banned because of parts count or something? i'm not familiar with the history.

i can see and i think uclaplinker already mentioned that with these there can be mp5 pistols now.

Anybody have any idea what the final cost would be from flats to fully assembled firearm?

                            Group buy and Group build?

                              $200 ish for the flat
$1500 ish for the parts sets that are available now.
Time involved in De-mill and assembly.
There is some simple tooling that can be made to help the build process
at a few points so either you could have someone help or this would add some minor
                              expense to the build.
