Ever buy a gun because "I have some of that ammo"

I almost bought a gun today because I remembered I have about 50rds of .25acp that was in my grand dads stuff. No gun just the ammo.I had convinced myself that was a logical reason to move this purchase to the top of my buy list just because a had a few rounds.I wasn't a great price.I kinda verbalized my reason and the seller gave a strange look like"Ok whatever" and that was enough to bring me back to my senses. Has his happened to anyone else or am I just the weird one.

Throughout the panic, I could always get .40 s&w so I bought a few more guns in that caliber.

I've also bought someones gun cause it came with ammo I wanted. It still sits in my safe without a single range trip lol

I don't shoot .40 S&W but the thought has crossed my mind after seeing it consistently at now/throughout the panic when I has having a hard time sourcing decent priced 9mm/.45ACP.

Same with the dirt cheap 5.45 compared to 5.56 prices although all the FUD surrounding it has causes a panic.

No, but I'm kind of on the lookout for a S&W 4506 only because I've got two magazines lying around.

I wouldn't for that reason alone. If I wanted a new handgun and was in the market, that might be a reason to pick this rather than another gun.

I think .25 acp is a blast, btw. Baby Browning and their clones re great little vest guns.
