Accompanied my wife to Dayton, OH for a conference. After that we drive to northern Ohio to visit relatives.
Had never been in a Gander Mountain store, until now. Wow - all the guns my "daddy's" in the State Assembly and Senate and DOJ have determined are unsafe! Gee, the people in Ohio aren't having them explode or self-destruct. Sure makes you wonder. Even Wal-Mart had the evil 30-rounders IN the mag wells of the evil rifles.
Ammo at Gander was in abundance, and well-priced compared to California. No rimfire, but there's bad with the good. Gun prices were higher than California. Some MUCH higher so it's not all good news here.
My only regret will be timing. I will miss CMP's truncated hours when I hit Port Clinton. Sure is fun to see concealed carry, lots of ammo, nice people and green. Weather is shirtsleeve so not bad at all.
By the way, the Museum of the Air Force was tremendous!!!! Much more entertaining and well-presented than the Navy museum in Pensacola. Just a wonderful experience that you shouldn't miss if you are close.
