    Elementary Lost It

In another example of how Hollywood has degenerated into a propaganda arm for liberal Democrats, I was watching "Elementary" last night when all of a sudden they start talking about the bad guy as a "Second Amendment radical type."

Needless to say, I turned the TV off and made a vow to never watch that show again.

I keep trying to remind myself that it's just a TV show and it's getting harder to....

My wife and I like that show a lot, the actors have some nice chemistry going but the flubs are definitely facepalm worthy and annoying at times. The Captain bars on every station cop is annoying and the episode awhile back about a smooth bore barreled semiautomatic MP5 was laughable....

Yeah, too many works of entertainment are being written by people with no knowledge of firearms, their abilities, their owners, and laws governing them.

I am in the middle of reading The Girl who Played with Fire, part of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, and good god is Stieg Larson a complete moron when it comes to firearms and police. He constantly makes moronic descriptions that do not match real life about fire arms, and he hails the police as absolute geniuses and all around good people, unless they are a bad cop, then they are basically Satan incarnate.

I literally laughed when he wrote "...he clicked the safety off his Glock..."

That is the problem; it's not just entertainment anymore, with so few people that search for true information these shows help shape their view of the world. I was watching Blacklist a while back and i love the show, they had a scene where a ccw'er drew his firearm and attempted to stop a robbery. I was hyped as this was one of the first times i had seen this in a modern show, did he help the situation? did he stop the crime? No, he ended up shooting a kid.

And don't even get me started on the unconstitutional searches in most cop shows, the abuse of power that is shown in a positive light. It's called propaganda, once a certain amount of people see these types of scenes as normal they will accept it in real life. 1984 spoke of it's effects and its implementation in detail.

I damn near cant watch TV anymore, i even saw a show a while back where a glock made a hammer clicking sound as if it were a revolver, i almost lost it.

What really scare me are those First Amendment and Fourth Amendment and especially those nutty Sixth Amendment radical types.

I tried talking to those Fifth Amendment radical types, but they just wouldn't say anything.

Trust me, it isn't just firearms that Hollywood is ignorant of. My wife is in healthcare, and she spends just as much time bagging on their healthcare knowledge as I do bagging on their firearms knowledge. And don't get me started about how little they know about computers. The only thing Hollywood knows anything about is making movies and TV shows. And there are an increasing number of them who don't even know how to to do that.

Wow, sounds like most gun forums site as well. How much FUD is spread on this and pretty much any other gun forum. People talk that they know the laws and how many times every day do people post totally incorrect information. People have posted stuff hat could easily get anyone arrested if you followed what is posted. It is not just tv, but sadly it is everywhere.

The CSI (Las Vegas) last week really lost the "willing suspension of disbelief": Kid comes into the LVPD, starts shooting with a 9mm pistol, and wounds 4 or 5 officers. Slo-mo and all.

Firstly, all hits were in the torso, and _no_one_ was wearing a kevlar vest. You're working the front desk of the PD, kevlar would be top of the list, right?

Being a car guy makes watching T.V. and movies difficult as well.

Beyond the insane amounts of ignorance shown about many subjects in TV shows and movies, these mediums have been turned into little more then a propaganda machine for the liberal causes.

So ditch that show, and watch Sherlock instead.

What is Elementary? A new show?

The LAPD officer shot in his station was not wearing a vest.
