    selling an 80%

I have a couple of 80% lowers and 1911 frames that I will not be building up. They have not been milled or altered and am curious around the legality of being able to sell them. I know you can't sell it once it's been machined, but what about prior to the work being done?

    Aye or nay?

They're paperweights if you haven't done anything. Sell away.

You can sell them if they're 80% & you can sell them if they're machined. If they're finished, they will need a serial number, place of manufacture, caliber & one or two other things I'm forgetting, stamped/engraved on them. There are laws as to the depth of engraving etc. They will need to transferred legally at an FFL if they are finished, which makes them a firearm legally.
