7n6 ban is the start of a push to rid the us markets of all imported ammo, imo.

What I dont get is that the "handgun" being used was really just a single shot exemption rifle with a SB and no stock. So now is the ATF going to go on a witch hunt for 7.62x41 and other rounds as well?

i find it funny that if the ATF, was smart or looking out for people.( BOTH I KNOW ARE LOL) why not ban this "pistol" which likely has never been brought in the US, which would allow the 7n6 ammo to still flow.

but hey, if you take away all the ammo all guns become sticks.

you can be sure the haters are spending a lot of time figuring a way to take away our guns and ammo . maybe a out and out ban will not be needed. you have to understand leftys have learned to change things slowly but surly. that chip idea for simi auto auto pistols was a very cleaver way to ban all those pistols in CA. The manufactures just refuse to comply and sell them in CA.
Never forget this has nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with eliminating guns.they just do not want armed citizens.It complicates things for them.

Lead core 5.45x39mm ammo has been in production for several years.

BATFE ruling only affects Russian surplus 7N6 ammo.

No witch hunt.
Back in the early-1990s, this happened with surplus steel-core 7.62x39mm ammo.
Someone made a 7.62x39mm handgun, which got the surplus steel-core ammo banned as AP.
This was also the reason why many manufacturers refused to make a 5.45x39mm handgun.
But, some people get greedy and think it can't happen again. Which results in a ban on steel-core 5.45x39mm ammo.
