    Calling Centerfire Systems tomorrow

Well, it really chaps my rear that they hate this state. They won't sell handguns (even if on approved list) or semi auto rifles (except a sks with the grenade launcher lopped off). I want to make my point, which is "Don't expect CA to buy from you when we become a free state if you're not willing to work with us now". I know I might get a stfu, but hopefully that'll prevent CA money from going to them.

Anyone have anything I should throw in, or any suggestions on how to go about this? I have great communication skills and vocabulary (wouldn't know it from my posts here). Just some ideas on anything else I might want to present to them to make it appealing to deal with Californians. Thanks, Molon Labe.

Man, I feel ya. But I just dont think they will care. They actually seem like nice folks when I speak with them on the phone, but thier rules do suck.

If you're going to do it, make sure you talk to the guy in charge. Actually, a better way would be to sign up with http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB2/ and let them know how you feel. Centerfire is a member.

I suspect a well drafted letter to their upper management / owners stating that CA gun laws may seem restrictive to most other states, but any restrictions on semi-auto long guns are very clear, ie "no evil features, etc", and that permitted handguns are easily looked up on the CA roster.

The only way to persuade these hillbillies in KY is to some facts and figures which amount to $$$. How many gun owners are there in CA and how many long guns and handguns were sold in CA last year - type figures, may shift their focus.

Life can make you do many things, even kiss a man with a runny nose.

A letter or email I figured would be swept under the rug. I planned on calling the head turd over there, and leaving as many voicemails and calling back as many times as it takes to speak with him.

Removing a pistol grip is not difficult, and their prices are good enough to get alot of Calgunners to buy from them. Hell, the saigas need no modification (excluding shotguns). If they don't back us now, we never shouldn't give them any business when we are a free state. If this website got some small time gun dealer from Gun Broker to change his ways, theres hope for Centerfire.

And you wonder why people outside of CA think you're a bunch of elitist @$$holes...

Just keep in mind that these 'hillbillies' pay less taxes, have no waiting periods, crippled magazines, can go out in public with their guns, and generally put up with a lot less irritation than you do. But, they aren't blessed to live near you.

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Do a search. There is an outta state FFL that is signed up with the CFLC and is willing to be the middle man. You can have it shipped to him, then he will ship it here (being the firearm is on the CA list) and he only charges like 20 bux.

We have enough hoops to jump through, don't need another. If Centerfire or anyone else isn't willing to work with CA, we should take note. I for one, am not going to kiss their butts and thank them when we become a free state.

Just got their print catalog today and there is no mention of this being restricted for California sales. The web site might be wrong. You should give them a call.
