    CA Roster & Color Specificity

    Hi all,

I was looking into the Sig p250 today on the CA roster and noticed that only the Bi-Tone version is on the roster. Does that mean that if I tried to purchase the all black version from an online dealer it would be rejected at FFL?

    Thanks in advance.

    Probably.

If you are not an exempt buyer, what you can get from a dealer must be on the Roster.

While the bi-tone and all black models may be otherwise identical, and Sig might have chosen to add both to the Roster (one not tested), CA thinks those are different models

Yes it will get rejected. The black version is pure evil. Had that same converation with my FFL dealer about a pink version i was looking to buy for my daughter. If its not the right color specified on the roster it will get rejected, even though its exactly the same gun.

A second vote for "yes". The all black model undoubtedly has a different SKU number and the list is extraordinarily specific on this issue. If the model you are trying to purchase is not an exact match with the approved list model, it's not approved.

Yes you cannot purchase the black version unless you are exempt or do it as a SSE
