    Turners in West Covina

I was up visiting relatives last weekend in Pomona so I decided to stop in at Turners in West Covina to check them out. I've read and heard tons of horror stories about the different Turners around Cali. But to my surprise the two guys "manning the guns" were both extremely polite, attentive and helpful. One of the guys kept pushing the M&P and even had a video going about it. It was pretty interesting to say the least. The guy musta been on S&W's payroll cuz he was going on and on about M&Ps like it was some kinda new porn or something. I came out with a good deal on some electronic ear protection, which I've only tested in the house with my noisy kids. I have a P6 patiently waiting with only 6 more days to go, so I couldn't really purchase anything else.

Besides praising this Turners for their good service, I wanted to ask those of you in the area if you might remember a model they have on display right now. I was fondling a two-tone SIG SAS series with Wood Grips and it felt soo nice in my hands, I fell in love. But I can't seem to remember the exact model number. I tried calling several times, but they transfer me and nobody ever picks up. I don't know when I'll be out that way again.

Was the gun brand new? If so then likely a 239SAS or 229SAS.

Turners experience tends to vary from store to store. I heard good things about Fountain Valley and Orange store, and W. Covina is not that bad from what I hear.

The one in W. Cov is an old one compared to the new ones I've been to. They're pretty much established.

Yeah, I figured it was either the 229 or 239, but I can't recall which. I'm thinking it was the 229. It was definitely a brand-spankin' new gun.

I've usually been ok with West Covina. Who do you all think is the worst one then?

You are probably right, Norwalk has it's moments but has a good guy or two in there as well. I'm ok to fair on Signal Hill.

Reseda was the site of my worst ever Turners customer service. The at the time asst manager or manager even snarled at me one time there

Yeah, a big fat plus 1 on these two stores. I've bought many guns from them and have had great experiences.

I've said it before and will say it again. I personally have always been treated well at Turner's (Norwalk and Chino Hills).
I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

If you're in a survival movie and the hot blond twists her ankle and can't walk, you damn well figure a way to carry her. If it's a dude, you shake his hand and say "best of luck".

So I take it nobody's been in the Covina store lately?
It's bugging me that I can't remember the model number on that SIG.

West Covina, hehe, overheard one of the old timers there saying how the "bushmaster carbon-15" was the only CA legal rifle.

He didn't exaggerated a bit. I've shot the M&P9 and it is a sweet pistol. Very soft recoil, excellent DA trigger and extremely accurate. Worth every penny.
