better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.Tags: None -
If you have a US barrel you only need the FCG and muzzle device. The barrel and the receiver count as 2 parts. If you have an original barrel then use a US pistol grip. That is the easiest way.Originally posted by DRHAs mentioned you will have to build the gun so it does not have more than 10 imported parts. The easiest way to do this with an AK would be to change the fire control group (trigger, hammer and disconnector), gas piston, muzzle attachment or and furniture (stock, handguard).
The exact number is dependant on how many original parts you use. While you can use the magazine to count as three parts most people avoid this approach as changing to an imported mag would be a violation. If you look you will see many US 922 compliance parts for sale to assist with getting the parts count right.sigpic

There are all of two posts by this user, and both are nothing but copied lines of previous posts (not even any commentary). Seems somebody is padding their post cost count.
OP, the FAQ is listing which parts are to be counted towards the total if they are imported. It is not saying those parts are always considered to be imported. As long as the number of parts that are imported stays at 10 or below, the gun will pass this part of the law.Comment
