    Buying Guns in Oklahoma

Just returned from my home state and while there was checking out the gun counter at Tinker AFB. I ask the guy behind the counter about purchase restrictions and this was his reply" Friend, you show me your retired I.D. and an Oklahoma D.L. with the correct address and with a big enough credit card, i can sell you every pistol, every rifle and every shotgun, all the ammo you need; and i'll have you out the door in less than an hour"…..must be nice to live in America….LOL

It's that way all over. I travel a lot and always check out guns in other states. My favorite was how you can buy a Colt AR15 at Walmart in Kansas.
Lots of states just need a ID and a CCW permit and you are out the door in no time with your gun.

Probably nothing, unless he had it shipped to his favorite CA FFL.

Yeah....my oldest daughter and her husband live in Tulsa. She grew up with me in Kalifornistan and is a competent shooter. (She's more of a gun nut than her okie husband...hahaha)

I am out in T town at least once a year and yes, you can't imagine the cool firearms in gun stores around town.

Thanks be to Thor for the vertical family gun gift exemption via my California FFL that are EXEMPT from the Roster and sales tax.

It's a five minute transaction (time to fill out 4473) in NV from an FFL if you have a CCW. Otherwise a bit longer for the NCIC check.

PPT is less than that and you don't even have to show anything. Some sellers require NV ID or CCW.

I wish Virginia did that. They don't use NICS here, it's run by the VA State Police. It's still 5-10 minutes usually, but sometimes when there's a big gun show, their system gets backlogged for the whole state.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Yeah, I noticed that. I wish Florida would switch to the CCW as a call in system.

That's sad when a basic freedom is heartwarming and yet out of touch to us behind enemy lines.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Very true. While CA had a waiting period for the last 90 years it has only been about 20ish years since cash and carry was outlawed.

Laws like DROS?/PPT, 10 round limit magazines, and CCW permits are focused more on erasing history than protecting innocent lives. So many new gun owners think it is normal to have these restrictions and show fear and/or awe at the thought of what used to be a common routine. What was once freedom has become taboo and evil.
