Not cheap and difficult to find at box stores. I do not reload as I do not have the time. Maybe when I retire I will. In the meantime, 40 SW seems to do the job and is readily available.sigpic

Ok no debate long story short:
.357 SIG is more accurate than .40 S&W due to bottle neck cartridge (all bottle neck pistol cartridges are more accurate because the bullet is aligned in the barrel better and are not affected by case neck damage).
9mm +p bullets can be used in .357 SIG if you reload 9mm so save money by buying more bullets in bulk than buying 2 seperate bullets in smaller lots.
You can shoot .357 SIG and .40 S&W in same gun by only changing the barrel.
In a emergency you can resize .40 S&W into a .357 SIG case with the right dies and tools.
the cost to reload .40 S&W and .357 SIG is almost the same ..... buying factory rounds the .40 S&W is much cheaper and more avalible.
.357 SIG 125 grain in a +p (1450 fps) is very idential to .357 Magnum 125 grain (one of the best single shot man stoppers for a handgun)
The .357 SIG has slightly more recoil than the .40 S&W BUT the .40 S&W recoil is faster and sharper than the .357 SIG.Last edited by Eagle Eyes; 04-05-2014, 11:27 AM.Comment

I like 357 sig but its not being used to its full ability. The major ammo companies do a good job with th 125gr loads and barnes has their own 357 sig specific all copper but id like to see more use of 147gr or custom 150-160gr loads for it. More weight is always good!just happy to be here. I like talking about better ways to protect ourselves.
