Going to Frontsight next week in RV,,,

Do they still allow self contained RV parking outside the gate?

From the FAQ , self contained is ok on the BLM land.

Call the office to validate the appropriate / preferred area.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

      Look at this:

In the lower center of this picture, you will see a large rectangular dark spot. That is the water feature at Front Sight. If you zoom in, you can see a motorhome parked near it. That is BLM land an where many will camp in tents or self-contained trailors/motorhomes.

Yep,, great training, over the top marketing. Spam filter works wonders though.

Hey, I'm going next week too! Well, on thursday for the weekend basic pistol course. Which course are you taking?

You guys need to report in on how it went this weekend. How was the weather, crowds, etc? See any construction on going on? Thanks!

Up again, Do you pull your RV in and out of frontsight each day? Will I need an adventure pass also?

There is an RV parking area behind the Best Western hotel... not sure of the name or rates but has some nice treeshaded spots. Best Western hotel had a "special rate" for Front Sight people when we called - $60 per nite. Not a fancy place but clean, quiet (other than wall unit a/c), and decent breakfast. Little restaurant and pub onsite too.

Yes to the first question. It's a long way to walk from the front gate to most of the ranges.

If you are shooting rifle or shotgun, carrying all your gear and ammo, while sucking dust kicked up by the cars the other students are driving, you'd wish you had towed your Jeep behind the RV.

What's an adventure pass? To Disney California Adventure Park? LOL

over the top marketing is a understatement for Frontsight ...... wait till you get on their "special" marketing list. Whatever you do NEVER buy their special Frontsight Brand pistol (in fact even free I would not take it). I tried one from a friend of mine and I kid you not I squeezed the pistol grip and the magazine popped out as it seems the polymer frame is thin and flexible with no metal insert.

If you want top rated training without the marketing hurricane you should try Gunsight in AZ, they would be the Rolls Royce of training while Frontsight is between a Buick and a Cadillac.
