    Why isn't my rifle selling?

Why doesn't anyone want to buy my AR 15? Are they not popular anymore? Is it the ammo cost? Can anyone offer some perspective?

    Thanks!

The market is flooded. During the panic, when prices were up 300%, everyone thought they could build one and sell for big bucks.

Now prices have pretty much stabilized, the market is thick with AR's, and people are either asking too much for them, or the same/better rifles can be acquired for the same price or less online or at an LGS.

If you want to sell quick, you're going to have to take a loss and sell on the cheap.

You could try to part out the scope, rings, bipod, ets.

Also, just looked at your WTS thread... Maybe try selling the Leupold separately in the accessories section. You'll be able to lower your overall price for the rifle and maybe attract more buyers...

But you're still going to probably have to take a loss to make a sale, unless you got an incredible deal on it to begin with.

I suspect much of it has to do with the price. If you check Turner or Oak Tree ads, you will find a number of quality AR's at very good prices.

I agree completely with the above post.

This is almost exactly true. Lower the price until it sells or hold on to it after all there WILL be another panic it is just a matter of when.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

OP, you're stubborn, bumping it for 3.5 months. Will not ship limits your market. Might try shipping option, or lower the price.

Almost everyone has an AR now a days. Unless it's a steal, better put it back in the safe. Or maybe ask for a trade.

                  why are you selling?

It is an old gun seller's rule of thumb that you can almost never include the price of the scope when you price your gun. Most people who might want your rifle are not going to want your scope. They will most likely want to put the optic of their choice on the gun.

Sell the scope separately and you may have more success.

most likely its a pre-2014, you should keep it.

also "Will Not Ship" seriously limits your potential buyers

I've never even heard of a Novak AR, most new buyers look for a name brand. I agree with selling the scope separate and if you sell that gun for $750-$1000 it would sell.

agree... sell the scope separately. The more accessories/customization you have on a gun the smaller and smaller the population of prospective buyers who want those EXACT mods on their gun.

The other issue with AR's is that the market was saturated with them in 2013, cannibalizing 2014 sales to some degree....and there is lots of buyers remose at those panic prices and people looking to sell guns they bought that they really could'nt afford. I think there was a fair amount of specualting in complete lowers and 80% paperweights and those people still holding inventory have had their heads handed to them as well.
