Just got back from the range.Fired 200 rounds of mixed 7.62x39.All steel cased.Functioning was 100%.No failures of any kind.

Zeroed the Sig-Tac red dot sight at 25yards to start. Was about 6 inches high and left.Moved to 100,readjusted elevation.Held to about 3 inch groups at 100.

Not disappointed.Mixed ammo and was not going for precision.Waiting for iron sights to arrive from Sig.Only comes with red dot.

The Sig 556 series of rifles are accurate and reliable. Just about all the complaints I've seen have been people nit picking over things that are slightly different from the SG500 series of rifles. Although there was a couple bad runs early on. AFAIK all rifles produced since around the middle of 2009 have had no defects. And I haven't heard of any of the 556R's having any problems.
