    Long Gun transport question

I have these guitar case and I'm planning to use it as a carrying case for my gun. Will these be Ok? I'm also going to put a lock on the zipper opener as posted in pic no. 2. Any input on these is very much appreciated.

      Two questions:

      Are the padded?

What type of gun(s) are you planning to transport?

As long as they can be locked, are unloaded and the weapons can not be accessed without first removing the lock anything can be used (of course not talking someone taking a knife and cutting into them as there is no requirement to what they must be made of).

I would think a hard case would work better.

Legal since you are putting a lock on them. If they were designed to hold long guns you wouldn't need the lock.

Its legal if they are unloaded. No other requirements by the law.

School zones require a lock within 1000 feet and they are damn near everywhere.

Then there is the issue of messing up the finish bouncing around the car...

damn it just bag and lock it.. lol

Fender Stratocaster gig bags work great and don't attract attention. I use a Wilson tennis bag for the 7.5" AR, with a small padlock on the zipper.
