I have these guitar case and I'm planning to use it as a carrying case for my gun. Will these be Ok? I'm also going to put a lock on the zipper opener as posted in pic no. 2. Any input on these is very much appreciated.

Long Gun transport question

Two questions:
Are the padded?
What type of gun(s) are you planning to transport?"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.Comment

As long as they can be locked, are unloaded and the weapons can not be accessed without first removing the lock anything can be used (of course not talking someone taking a knife and cutting into them as there is no requirement to what they must be made of).Comment

I would think a hard case would work better."That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer's cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there." George Orwell
"A free society asks not why people want or need their freedom. It asks why government would restrict it."Comment

Legal since you are putting a lock on them. If they were designed to hold long guns you wouldn't need the lock.Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison
The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)Comment

Its legal if they are unloaded. No other requirements by the law.
School zones require a lock within 1000 feet and they are damn near everywhere.
Then there is the issue of messing up the finish bouncing around the car...
damn it just bag and lock it.. lolOriginally posted by TonyNorCalIf I'm going to spend money to touch a woman then it's going to be at a Nevada brothel, on Craiglist hooker, or trolling the streets in a camper van.
