    Met another guy today... :)

    So at my friend Matt's lunch/ceremony for seeing him off to USD for seminary, I got to meet Matt's friend, Herb. As it turns out, Herb was the first guy in the Navy to earn the honor of being a Triple Distinguished Marksman. I talked with him about his firearm exploits, machining skills, etc for about 20 min or so and my jaw was hanging to the floor pretty much the entire time.

    He doesn't do any more shooting with guns now, as he hunts with a bow. This makes me really want to thin out the firearm collection and delve into archery but what guns to sell?!? This shall definitely require some more thought...

      Sell them all.

      I've got a friend, the whole family bow hunts, they have some sic setups and always trying to convert me.

      Not going to happen though. A bow is still a bow, I'll take my powder burners any day of the week and twice on saturday.

                                              I don't shoot much,

                                              When I do, I tend to prefer single shot/bolt action .22LR rifles and ruger single six revolvers. (ironic since I don't own a single six right now)

                                              I also like shooting a 38 colt police positive and a colt woodsman.

                                              Prety much everything else I just stay proficient with incase I have a sudden need to use it.


                                              There may come a day when you can't get those guns back.

                                              I would reccomend not getting rid of any without putting some serious thought into it.
