Muzzle brake Legal?

Is the MoReeper Mini 14 Muzzle brake legal in California or is this the unmentionable evil feature?

Manufacturer says

The Mo-Reaper was designed purely as a front sight and muzzle brake, and is not a flash hider. Flash hiders have a different design and purpose than a muzzle brake. Even though a flash hider is mounted on the muzzle of a rifle in similar fashion as a muzzle brake, the terms flash hider and muzzle brake are not synonymous.

Muzzle brakes are supposed to be legal. I have a Mo-Reaper on mine. Haven't' had any issues at any of the ranges. You'll enjoy the difference. Factory issue Mini's tend to have a little more muzzle rise than ARs. With the Reaper, the mini feels almost like a .22. Plus you get an excellent, thin front sight. Be aware, the front sight is higher than factory, and you have to really crank up the rear sight beyond its limit.

Honestly, as you know and anyone else who has dealt with Ca. DOJ; they do not give you a straight answer anyways. I have called them before and they did not affirm what I was asking nor elaborate on the laws they have proposed upon us. Very frustrating indeed.

Thank you! I installed the M1 style Tech Sight rear for mine which makes adjustments a breeze. It also sits a little higher than the stock rear sight so that would be a plus.
