I assume you mean that you're keeping the guns in their home without their knowledge or consent? If so...

What's your age? How and where are the guns stored? Are there children or minors in the house? Any felons in the house? Etc, etc.

There could be both legal and ethical issues, but we more details.

I wouldn't keep them at home if my parents didn't allow me to. I wouldn't hide the fact that I'm pro gun either. We'd probably argue back and forth and I'd keep at it with the hopes of changing their views one day.

In my point of view you have 2 options:

        1) You can live with them for free and have them provide for you and not own any guns for a few years - or own them but keep them in a safety deposit box or storage, just somewhere legal and "not under their roof" (I am sure you heard that right?).

        or

        2) You can get a crappy job like the rest of us, work our asses off just to pay rent, maybe someday buy a house, get married and watch your wife grow fatter by the day. After a hard days work you can sit in front of the TV and talk to your self about how this country is going to s*it. If you're lucky you might even become a chain smoking alcoholic. But the upside is you get to have your guns now.

        Stay in school!

22 years old, all guns are disassembled and locked, no children or anyone that isnt legal to own/handle firearms at all.

Good to hear there are no huge red flags...yet. With that said, you're doing the wrong thing. You should not keep firearms in their home without their knowledge.

I come from a pro-gun Texas upbringing, but even then...I'd have a huge problem if any of my children had a gun in the house that I didn't know of.

Storage, Safety Deposit Box, you have options man. You can literally have your guns and shoot them too - just not store them at your parents house.

You can try explaining to them that Freud associates retarded sexual and emotional development not with gun ownership, but with fear and loathing of weapons. If they get upset, tell them that you learned this is psych class.

If you're an adult and not storing them at the parents house, I don't see a problem with it. If you feel like you are lying to them, then tell them. What you are doing is not affecting them in any way.

If one of my kids stayed at my house with a gun I didn't know about and kept it from me I'd be PI$$ED.

They should bring it out and let me play with it!

In your case, it seems they're not on your parents' property, they are legally owned by you, and you're just avoiding confrontation within the family. Very sad, but I think you're ok. Not what I'd do, I'm more argumentative, but I wonder how long you can keep this up without a blow-up....
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

If you are living in there house then you should let them know the truth. Their house their rules.

                            their house, their rules.

                            your house, your rules.

if you're not keeping the guns in their house but in locked storage off their property, then i don't see the sense in telling them that.

I wouldnt leave them at your girlfriend's place either.

No one else you can trust? Army buddy? Cousin?

The best solution, of course, is to move to your own place and keep them guns with you.
