All basic food groups covered? What next?

    1. Mossberg 500 (shotgun)
    2. Glock 19 (semi auto pistol)
    3. S&W 686 (sizable caliber revolver)
    4. Browning 1911-22 (.22 cal pistol)
    5. Zastava OPAP AK47 (battle rifle)
    6. Henry repeating lever action H001 (.22 rifle)

AR-15 nice rifles and rack drivers but don't really want to add another caliber.

1911 not a fan of the cost of the .45 round.

My needs... Plinking, End of world scenarios.

I'd like a 9mm just right carbine if I could find one at retail...

So opinions? Stick to what I got or add something that is "needed"

    Or just buy more ammo?

    Opinions welcomed cal guns familia.

gundad the just right carbine is a ar platform that uses glock mags.
I want one just at $950 out the door I'm passing.

The hipoint carbine is awesome! Just wish I could use my glock magazines.. And I can't find one at there actual value.

I went with the AR but in 7.62 x39. I know you already have the AK (I remember the pics from not too long ago) but it will keep the various calibers down.

NOW before the neigh sayers chime in, it is fine round for that platform. If you have the time let me know and you can check mine out - just PM me.

            Just something to consider

You should be fine with what you have. The 9mm Hi Point carbines are usually available for around $400 at Turners. I would look at maybe an extra barrel or two for the shotgun to give you more options. And depending on how accurate your .22 rifle is, I might look at a bolt or semi-auto one that you could mount a good scope on. The only other thing that you might consider, if you are planning for the end of the world, would be a decent pellet gun with a scope. You can buy tins of pellets for under $10, and you are far more likely to use that on a daily basis than anything else. Mostly for picking off pests like mice, rats and gophers, and the occasional hunting as well.

Maybe a full size semi pistol. BUT...every collection should include a 5" 1911 in 45acp.

                    ^^^ This.

                    You also need a 10/22.

...and a .223/.308 bolt gun. Something to reach out a few hunnert yards.

At the risk of adding to your ammunition supply headaches, I'm going to suggest a .308 bolt action rifle. Your current collection doesn't really give you any long range shooting options. There are a slew of good rifles available in the caliber that can take you out past your AK's 300-ish meter effective range with enough oomph to be effective.

Alternatively, why not jump on the Mosin Nagant bandwagon? C'mon! All the cool kids are doing it!

I'd suggest either a .308 or .30-06 scoped bolt action. It seems like the only thing you're really missing is long range capability, AK ain't that accurate past 300 yards or so.

Also, an AR15. Think of all the fun accessories you can buy for it!

btw well rounded collection. Right now mine is
                        1. Marlin 795 (22 rifle)
                        2. Maverick 88 (12 gauge shotgun)
                        3. MP-15 (AR15, semi-auto centerfire rifle)

                        looking to add a winchester model 70 .30-06, a ruger 22/45, a Glock 17, Ruger Gp100, and a springfield armory mil-spec 1911. Then I'll be set!
