Do you have a Hyperfire trigger in yours

Ok, people of CG'ns, would like some input from the Hyperfire trigger owners, other triggers owners also welcome.

I have a 7.62/308 AR platform rifle, with original Battle trigger, it's well a battle trigger what can I say.

Now even with this set up, if I really take the time I can pull off a nice 200yd 10 ring hit, ( my zero ) but it's a chore, so needing a better trigger, but not to lower any SHTF reliability of said rifle, just make it better, ( more fun ).

The guys a Hyperfire are saying this is the trigger to get, short travel clean brake, hard hammer strikes.

That said, anyone use one of these, or is there something else that's more superior.

Running FGM ammo 168gr, an 3-15x42 HD rapid-Z

I do very much appreciate your input on this matter...

Not sure about hyperfire but Timney makes a nice drop in trigger also.

I just don't think you need the hiperfire in a precision rifle. I have one in my match gun because it is primarily designed for speed. I think the Guissele is a better fit for your 308.

There is a lot of positive reviews of them in the competition section.

The distinct advantage of the Hyperfire is this.

If you are running Milspec ammo. Which typically have a harder primer than non milspec ammo.
You won't get light primer strikes with the Hperfire. Even if you use the light spring kit. (They come with 3 sets of springs to tailor your needs)

I found that out the hard way using a Timney on a LR308 using South African Battle packs.

The Timney trigger doesn't have enough mass / speed to Always light of Milspec primers.

As Milspec primers are made for machine guns as well as battle rifles.
This is to minimize bolt bounce firing. Hence they use harder primers.

I tossed in a Hperfire and that issue was eliminated. And it feels a bit lighter than the Timney. (3.5 Lbs on my scale)

Note: I love Timneys. I have a slew of them in many of my ARs as well as a few bolt guns.

Yet in this application. The Hyperfire is the better trigger.

Thats my experience. Yours may well be different.

I have the Geissele SD-3G trigger with 3.5lb trigger pull and the travel is extremely short as this trigger has a very short reset. Also its a 2 stage trigger and it is awesome.

Yep, that's how see it. And the short travel is a huge plus, I think for me.

                      Good input...
