              That's an expensive plinker, unless you roll your own, was wanting to get one but after researching ammo cost my wallet hurt, here is one guys solution

                  They did that on some rifles, as long as the Mum wasnt pristine it was fine to be released to a GI or Marine to take home.

                  Hornady I think makes 7.7 Arisaka, but your best bet is to reload for it. You can use .311 bullets (I use pulled Mosin Nagant bullets), and I make my cases out of .30-06( but there are a few companies that make brass for it now).
                  Not hard to reload for, and there is alot of load data out there. The Cartridge 3rd from the right is a 7.7 Arisaka, its got a 180Gr Remington .311 bullet.
