    .22LR Scarcity..Really?

So, I've been purchasing things here and there and one of the things on my list is ammo..

I've been looking around and its' kind of weird.. The general consensus is that .22LR is scarce.. But looking at the Private Ammo Sales forum there's sure to be plenty for sale..

There are 15 different for sale ads for .22lr on just the first page of my browser.. Anyone else drawing their own opinions on this..?

    Just sayin'..

People have never complained about not being able to get 22.

    They complain about the price...

Yep. Lots of .22lr around and nobody is debating that. Unfortunately the availability is 2x-3x pre-Newtown pricing vs.1.2x-1.5x for most other calibers.

Walmart has WIN 333 at a good price. Looks like .22 ammo is getting easy to get without standing in long lines at the gun shows...

Places I've seen with bad prices (.10-.15/end) seem to run out fast. For some reason you can always find it somewhere for really bad prices. I heard some guy at the LGS today talking about $100 for a brick. I'm sure that's still on the shelf.

The second the 22LR hits the shelf at walmart at a decent price they are snapped up for resale at inflated prices. 22LR is easy to get..$.15+ per round after shipping

This seems a little too extreme.

My LGS has 'em for $5.99 per 50... and they had a 5 box limit to boot.

I just sold 1000 rounds of Winchester M-22 for $100- back to Winchester as part of their recall.
