    Carrying while bicycling

Hello, not sure if this is the proper area for this, but here goes:
This is likely geared more toward LEO's and those with CCW's, but I am looking for ideas on how to, inexpensively, modify a nylon holster or other type holster to mount to my road bike, while cycling.
My idea is to have it strap to the top tube and possibly around the down tube, near the stem. I would like to use my G23 or my XDS. Anyone have anything like that they would maybe share a photo or idea with me?
    TIA!

To start with a cheap nylon holster and trying to modify it to just mount on a frame and end up not looking like an open carry is going to be a problem.

maybe start with something like this: although they might not have it in a G23 sixe.

The most comfortable, concealed carry holster money can buy. Made from glove quality leather inside and out. Ships Within 1-2 Days. 100% Silent Draw. Conceal In Comfort.

Probably want something like that. I bought a little triangle shaped bag that fit up on mountain bike handlebars but it's way too small for something like that. I'm sure you could find or make something larger though.

          Edit: like this:

Don't open carry like the pictures above show. Not only is it illegal most places in CA, but like the cop in the video warns, you garner unwanted attention. It's also a tactical disadvantage if you come across real bad guys. Assuming you have a CCW:

You can wear a fanny pack or a hydration pack with your gun in it while road riding. But it slows access. For quick access, a belly band under your jersey will work, but your gun will get sopping wet from sweat. Wear the gun in front if you use a belly band or a fanny pack.

For mountain biking you can wear a fanny pack or hydration pack as well. Or use a mouse gun and put it in your shorts pocket in a pocket holster. The pocket should have a zipper or a secure velcro flap. Don't use a belly band holster while mountain bike riding. The rough trail or a wipeout could make the gun go flying.

I leave my firearms at home when I ride. However, I do ride some pretty expensive bikes and sometimes worry a little when I am 30 miles from home or isolated out on a mountain bike trail. Due to this, I always carry a can of pepper spray in one of my rear jersey pockets. When mountain biking, I carry my Spyderco folding knife clipped to the strap on my Camebak. When on the road bike, I keep the knife clipped in the jersey pocket opposite the pepper spray. I really don't know where I could conceal a gun wearing cycling clothing.

I carried a mini derringer for years in my jersey. No rust issues.

Thanks for the responses and references, I do like the AR mounted to the mountain bike!
Lot's to look at and consider.
                  Thank You all!

I carry an LCP in a belly band holster. I ride in some areas that are kind of crappy.
