    Shooting a 1902 colt .38 auto today

Looking forward to shooting such a cool piece of history today. My uncle had it handed down to him. I was thinking how awesome I would be if gun companies would do limited reproduction runs of their classic pistols. I would love to pick up a 2014 colt to shoot and a 1902 to look at.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Please be sure you are using .38 ACP ammo and not .38 Super or +P.

Also be sure it is put together correctly. The barrel is held at two link points. The slide is retained by the cross wedge, look at it to make sure it isn't cracked. You need to push in on the dished piece at the muzzle to slide the wedge out. The wedge keeps the slide on the frame.

As the other party said, make sure it is .38 Automatic and not .38 Super or .38 Automatic p+.

Can we see a picture of your 1902? I've had two pocket 1903 .38s over the years. Your pistol is an important part of the Colt auto pistol line.
