Take a drive to Mt. Hood and have a meal at the Overlook Hotel.... Er, I mean the Timberline Lodge.

My brother works and lives in Hillsboro, he says there is f*** all to do out there. He'll drive to major cities like Portland if he wants to something entertaining.

If you're in to old airplanes, old cars, old military history, and old guns, this is the place to go.

Everything is operational, they really fly it all, they've got a Curtiss Jenny, and ALL KINDS of awesome other stuff.

Plus, the folks that run it are friends of mine. Well worth the drive. Then go down to the riverfront Full Sail brewery for a tour, a free beer, and some tasty food, and Bonneville Dam to see Herman the Sturgeon.

Try Tillamook Air Museum too

It's on the coast in, well, Tillamook.
There's a mile long(rather cold) lava tube outside Bend.
Crater Lake is pretty awesome.
You can't swing a dead cat in OR without hitting a brewpub.
