Now by plausible I do not mean if it were something you'd carry. Unless it were ultra-light vibranium. The question is, is there a lightweight metal (titanium, perhaps) that would be bullet resistant up to 7.62 (or 44mag if 7.62 is too hot of a round), from which such a shield could be constructed? If possible (albeit expensive, I assume), who would someone go see about such a shield? This shield, as decorative as it would seem, would have to be functional. Not for throwing around and boomeranging as much as bullet defense. Just a question I've always had.
