How do you package your gun ...

... when sending it back to the factory for warranty repair or service maintenance or for whatever reason?

The plastic case for this particular gun is big and so I was thinking of wrapping it in a bubble wrap and put it in a cardboard box instead.

Bubble wrap and then stuff old newspaper around it in the box and then tape it really good.

If I can't ship in the plastic case, I'll use a small pistol rug. Styrofoam peanuts go in the bottom of the FedEx box, then the gun, then more peanuts until nothing moves or makes a sound. Then it's sealed.

I keep the box the gun came in so I have a shipping box if I need it.

Thanks guys. Just curious, when shipping with its plastic case how do you send it? Do you put the plastic case in a cardboard box or bare?

I just throw pistols in a plastic mailer from Walmart. Then I go online & start a thread about how crappy a vendor is, without mentioning the name. *Sarcasm* I have a few barrel sized cardboard mailers I've saved & 2 large plastic cases I trust for that specific purpose. I'm always very careful about packaging.
