    Civil Disobedience in Connecticut

What do you all think is going to happen in CT?
Is this the end of 1984 and the beginning of 1776?

I think a few people will get arrested and go to jail and the rest of the people who thought it was cool to break the law will register their rifles.

In a couple years the gun lobby and angry gun owners will pour enough money to get a bunch of republicans elected and the laws changed.

From what I understand they are no longer allowing gun owners to register. It is turn it in or go to jail.

If that is the case. It might not be so easy.

Well then, I guess Cheaper Than Dirt is going to be selling a lot of those vault tube things to bury in the back yard.

if they bust you and you become a felon,
then you can't vote for those Republicans to change those laws ...

          ..just saying

The judicial and penal system in Conn. doesn't have the capacity to deal with how many felons this law created. Certainly not enough to make an impact on the voting pool.

They aren't going after everyone who didn't register because they don't know what they have. My understanding is they are going after a couple of thousand who tried to register but were late. So they're going after those who were going to abide anyways.

There won't be any drama. There won't be another Concord or Lexington.

What amazes me is that these idiots decided to register later after the ban. This had been done once before by California over the SKS. They reopened registration and then decided that it was not lawful and then required those folks that registered later to turn them in.
