Best 40 to9 conversion barrel for glock 23

I want to get a .40 to 9mm conversion barrel for my glock 23 and was wondering what to get. I think I narrowed it down to storm lake and lone wolf...any suggestion?

I have a lone wolf. Zero complaints. Has worked flawlessly for me. Maybe 1000 rounds or so. I have two. One for the 23 and another for 35. No issues. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend lone wolf conversion barrels.

Can't comment on storm lake. No experience with them.

I have 2 Lonewolf's and they have been perfect. Never understood why stormlake is so much more expensive

I stopped by the glockstore recently & asked the same question, I have a 23. Excellent results with the Lonewolf barrels, with the exception of reloads. They have several KB's in the display case. I'll be getting a 9 soon.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Meh, I exclusively shoot reloads through mine. That's the primary reason I bought them. The 40-9 conversion barrel is thicker than the stock barrel. KBs aren't because of the conversion barrels, it's because a few reloaders are foolish.

I have a Lone Wolf 40-9 barrel and it has worked flawlessly in my G22 RTF.

            Highly recommend!

I exclusively shoot reloads through mine with no problems.

I have the storm lake for a 23 and a lone wolf for a 35. They both work great.

I have a CCW so I guess my main question is would you trust them enough to carry?

I wouldn't hesitate. Unfortunately that kind of mod is not allowed here .. I understand it's ok someplaces. My LTC lists Mfg, Serial# and Caliber. My Glock 23 with a 9mm barrel would not be legal to carry.

Why? 10 rnds of .40s&w sounds better than 10 rnds of 9mm

Ive shot 500 hand loads through the Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrle in a Glock 23 without a hiccup, can't say the same for the 40-357sig conversion barrel.

I guess I'll have to check it it's ok first...

So many arguments for carrying 9 and 40 I guess i want to make up my own mind...

Yes, usually that 9mm has a higher round count of 15 vs, 13 of 40 s&w in the Glock Compact frame. Since we're restricted to 10 rnds the argument comes down to caliber personal preference. Sorry for going off topic but I just don't see the reason to change calibers in the same size frame. What would be the advantage?

For carrying I totally agree. If I have a choice of 9 or 40 with the same platform it's gonna be 40.

I have my 40-9 conversion so I can reload cheap 9mm for range and plinking .. saves me tons of money so far.
