"Just go ahead and carry illegally, if you get in trouble just pull it out to scare them and get away"

and I was thinking myself like, really?

I personally would never tell my girlfriend to carry illegally and let alone pull out a gun to scare some one. If the other person has there own gun she better be ready to use in self defense and not just bluff.

Our would-be firearms guru forgot to give his girl the second part of this advice... to file the front sight off so it won't hurt so bad when a BG who isn't scared by the mere sight of a firearm takes it and stuffs it where the sun has never shone. Anyone giving this kind of advice is simply stupid, no other word for it.
