"Right below the marlin model 60, Between the hi point carbine and Winchester 1300." ???

I think you meant to say," "Right below the marlin model 60, and ABOVE the Winchester 1300."

Well if I'm correct about your question, the shotgun in question looks like a older Remington Wingmaster with a 20" barrel, short "police" style wood forearm, bright blue finish and a POS pistol grip.

      Let's see what others say.

P.S.......The 1st time time I stepped into the Fremont was in 1963.

it's hard to tell with this picture.. (and I'm at a disadvantage because I am on a small screen smartphone)
but if there is no ejection port on the side it is very possibly a Ithaca model # 37 ( Ithaca # 37 ,Remington Model # 17 & Browning "bps" all were shotguns that had bottom ejection.)

my money is on it being an Ithaca model 37 with a pistol grip that someone had "custom / adapted" onto it.

***^^^^ that is for the shotgun right below the marlin model number 60

the one directly above the high point rifle is either (in my opinion,by viewing a small photograph) a 1300 Winchester or a 500 Mossberg with a heat shield on the barrel.

But at least this one has the pistol grip that is correct for the model.

my question is how did that crossbow pistol make it on to the gun table photograph.

I'm going to take a stab and say this is a old New Haven shotgun, with some fine home gunsmithing pistol grip work.

These are from a Chicago gun buyback, iirc.

A lot of the shotguns they ''get back'' have some custom ''gun smithing'' work done, pistol grips are quite common.
