Could be good. Could lead to standardized piston ARs so people quit complaining about proprietary parts as a reason to bash them. Could lead to cheaper prices on LWRCs, ramped up production, etc.
Could be bad. Could bring down quality, mass production = bigger numbers of errors slip through as an acceptable batch percentage. Could stifle competitive designs that may have something going, but can't compete price wise or volume wise.
