Are the Multi-State CCW Classes/Permits Worth it?

I saw an ad from CCW USA for multistate CCW Classes/permits and was considering it since I do visit surrounding states for work/travel.

Are these worth possessing and having?

I don't know but maybe someone here may know this, as I also am interested in your topic.

Depends on the reciprocity laws of the states you most commonly travel to. I travel to Montana and neighboring states a few times a year. Got mine online issued from Arizona three years ago. At the time, reciprocity covered every state (Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Montana) between here and there. But laws have since changed...Nevada for one doesn't recognize AZ CCW's anymore.
Now, I could run over to Vegas and get a license. But it's not worth the time and money to me for one state I pass through briefly...YMMV.

EDIT: One thing I will be interested to see is if reciprocity laws will be changed with California going "Shall Issue"...

The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
Well, when there aren't enough criminals,
      one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime that it
becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

These classes help you get a permit from usually Utah and/or Florida, which cover about 31 different states with reciprocity. Both states require a formal training class, plus fingerprint cards, which are both usually covered here. Neither Florida or Utah covers Nevada and Oregon, so you may want to apply to those as well to add those states to the mix.

The classes I've seen wouldn't work for California's CCW since there's no live fire requirement in the other states.
