Hello my California friends--
Does anyone remember a CA custom pistolsmith, somewhere between (I think) Bakersfield and Piru, first name Dick? When I attended the Steel Challenge in 1988, my friend Jim Erickson, with whom I've long since lost contact, did the driving and we stopped by to see this guy, who had done a compensated pistol for Jim. I never heard any more of him but was thinking about the CA 'smiths that have influenced me (Swenson was from CA, right? Jim Boland and John Jardine, naming a few). This just kinda got me curious about this guy and to what extend he was known. Thanks!
