    CA DOJ Handgun Re-Certification

    Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the CA DOJ requirements/procedures for getting a handgun (currently on the approved list) re-listed once it falls off the list?
(Same gun, no changes to the design)

    Thanks,
    Grantski

I maybe wrong on this but I think once it is off the roster , it needs to have microstamping to get back on.

The ONLY way to get a handgun back on the Roster is for the MANUFACTURER to submit it (and pay) for retesting with any new requirements added to the pistol (whether it has been changed or not).

It's not something that can be accomplished by a consumer.

Whether the new-since-added (mis)features are required in that case is apparently a matter of the AG's whim. In the past, some were reinstated without. Under the current AG, I would expect a different ruling.

But no consumer individual or group can resubmit one that has fallen off.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
