    Sparks flying out

    Hey fellow Calgunners,

I bought a Taurus 24/7 9mm (4 inch barrel) and took to the range today for its initial shooting trial. I chose this because I liked how the Mill. Pro 9mm shot. I bought it for the wife for HD or SHTF. She can shoot the .40cal, but at least this 9mm, she wont have to think twice about the recoil.

I shot 2 hundred rounds (all WWB) and no FTE, FTF, or any other issues. Shot well- perfectly at 7-10 yrds. 10 rounds all center mass; mozabique, no problem with center mass and head shots.

I did notice however, sparks, at time of fire. Yes- sparks! What I mean by this, when the round fired, a spark would fly out with the spent case when the slide went back and the round ejected. It was not muzzle flash. The spark would fly out right before the spent case would eject. I noticed this in the early rounds (prior to hitting the 50th round or so)

Im a newbee when it comes to the finer points of shooting; but I have shot enough to know that I have never seen sparks; other then the muzzle flash. Thats a flash and is pretty bright. But these were sparks. I didnt notice them anymore; as I got closer to reaching a hundred rounds. I also tried Magtech rounds. Actually come to think of it, the sparks I saw was when I shot the Magtech rounds and as I shot more WWB, the sparks seemed to get less. It wasn't like 4th of July or anything like that. It was just one spark or so when the round would go off.

    Whats the deal?

or is this something from X-files.

    Thanks,

    Doc.
